The embodiment of love and desire, Venus the Roman goddess is famed for her beauty and femininity, she is associated with great abundance and prosperity.

Inspired by Botticelli's painting, The Birth of Venus, in which the beauteous Goddess Venus emerges from the Sea, blonde locks flowing, standing within a scallop shell amid the waves.   The yellow diamond is Venus and the myriad of coloured sapphires are the waves and water all around her.  The ring is made in gold with a secret 8 pointed star on the reverse.  In ancient Sumeria The Planet Venus was associated with the Goddess Inanna and Ishtar.  Both were revered for love & fertility also and represented with an 8 pointed star.
